Night Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a part-time Night Veterinary Surgeon role at CVS 24/7 in Caterham, with 28 hours per week on an annualised hours contract. The position sits within the OOH team and focuses on primary care OOH consultations, member practice case transfers, inpatient care, medical work ups and surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Run primary care OOH consultations at the Caterham site.
• Receive and manage case transfers from member practices.
• Provide inpatient care through the night rota.
• Carry out medical work ups and surgical cases.
• Use strong clinical judgement when handling both routine and emergency surgery cases.
• Support colleagues by sharing best practice and contributing to clinical standards.

Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with 2 to 3 years' experience.
• Strong medical knowledge.
• Experience in routine and emergency surgery.
• Good communication skills.
• A passion for excellent patient and client care.
• Confidence to lead on surgical and medical cases.
• Ability to work as a mentor and team player.
