Part-time Veterinary Administrator

About the Role

This part-time admin opportunity is based in a busy veterinary office and can be split between a weekday person and a Saturday person if needed. The rota is 2 days per week from 9am to 6pm with a half hour lunch break from 1.30pm to 2pm, plus a Saturday shift from 9am to 4pm.

The role is offered at National Minimum Wage because these posts are for trainees. New recruits will be trained across reception, veterinary support and stock control tasks, so it is a good fit for someone who wants to build practical experience in a farming focused veterinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, take messages and relay information to the right person
• Support the vets with product ordering, sample testing, TB testing and client communication
• Order products from wholesalers, check deliveries, put stock away and file paperwork
• Help across a busy office that supports multiple branches

Requirements

• Interest in the veterinary industry
• Genuine interest in farming
• Good timekeeping
• Ability to work as part of a team
• UK driving licence, as occasional travel to another branch may be needed
• Suitable for trainees
