Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This is a Registered Veterinary Nurse position at Beech House Veterinary Surgery in Manchester, with a rota that can work full time or part time. The role covers 28.5 to 40 hours a week over 3 to 5 days, and the practice is open to discussing a different pattern if needed.

You will be joining an experienced and friendly veterinary team, supporting inpatient cases, surgery, hospital treatment plans, regular check-ups and routine procedures. The clinic also accepts referrals in medicine, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedic procedures, with regional support in ophthalmology and more areas developing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support inpatient care, surgery and hospital treatment plans alongside the wider veterinary team.
• Assist with regular check-ups and routine procedures.
• Contribute to patient care across all aspects of clinical work.
• Help maintain a high-quality practice environment and support the best possible outcomes for patients.
• Use clear written and verbal communication with colleagues, clients and pet owners.
• Take part in ongoing training and development opportunities through CVS and the practice.
• Help create a positive, friendly and supportive team culture.

Requirements

• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Ideally 18 months plus qualified, although applications from all levels of experience are welcomed.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to patient and client care.
• Willingness to learn, develop and grow within the role.

Beech House Veterinary Surgery in Manchester was established in 2009. The practice describes itself as friendly and experienced, and it provides care for inpatient cases, surgery, hospital treatment plans, routine procedures and regular check-ups.

The clinic accepts referrals in medicine, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedic procedures, with regional support in ophthalmology and further areas under development. It is accessible by car and public transport, and parking is available for team members who drive.
