This Veterinary Surgeon position is based mainly at Haygate Veterinary Centre in Wellington, with regular shifts at other nearby Haygate practices. The role is full-time, 40 hours a week across 4 days, with a share of the 1:5 Saturday rota, and part-time applications may also be considered.
You will be joining a first opinion small animal practice where clinicians are encouraged to make the best decisions and improvement is actively supported. The role suits an experienced vet who is comfortable with a varied caseload, clinical autonomy, and contributing to the wider team.
Haygate Veterinary Centre in Wellington is described as a busy, well-established small animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, VCAs and receptionists. It is also a training practice, with opportunities for development.
The practice has a newly installed CT machine, lap kit, high-spec lab equipment, multiparameter monitoring, oscillometric BP machines, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound, plus separate nurse consult rooms, wards and theatres. It is based in the large market town of Wellington in mid-Shropshire, with close proximity to the M54 and access to Telford, Shrewsbury and surrounding countryside.
