Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a permanent Veterinary Surgeon position at Animed Veterinary Centre in Whitstable, working on site in a first opinion small animal practice. The role is offered as full time at 40 hours, with part time considered and hours negotiated at interview.

The rota is built around a 4 or 5 day working week, depending on hours, with weekend commitments of 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:30pm. You’ll be joining a progressive and supportive team, with an ECC qualified Head Vet and a culture that encourages clinicians to make good decisions, share best practice and keep developing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied first opinion small animal caseload at Animed Veterinary Centre.
• Take the lead on surgical and medical cases.
• Carry out diagnostic investigations with care and accuracy.
• Support and mentor colleagues as part of a team based approach.
• Contribute to shaping clinical standards within the Whitstable and Beltinge team.

Requirements

• You are an experienced Veterinary Surgeon.
• You are confident in your clinical skills.
• You can work with clinical autonomy.
• You are comfortable handling a varied caseload.

About the Practice

Animed Veterinary Centre is a first opinion small animal practice in Whitstable, Kent, and forms part of CVS. The practice team includes vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists.
