A first opinion Veterinary Surgeon role with 31 to 40 hours across 3 to 4 days, plus 1 in 4 weekends, gives you a varied rota within a busy hospital setting. You'll also have the chance to build experience with on-site CT, ECC exposure and a growing exotics caseload if that interests you.
This newly created first opinion Veterinary Surgeon role sits within PetMedics Worsley Hospital in Manchester, offering full or part time hours, 31 to 40 hours a week across 3 to 4 days, plus 1 in 4 weekends. It is a days-based role with rota options available to discuss, and it is designed for a confident vet who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You will be working in a busy hospital environment with close support from a 24-hour emergency and critical care team and certificate-led referral clinicians. There is scope to admit and manage your own patients, develop ECC experience, and gain hands-on exposure to an on-site CT service with full training provided. An interest in behaviour would be particularly welcome, and the practice also has a growing exotics caseload for anyone who wants to work in that area.
The role is set within a large clinical team and benefits from round-the-clock patient care, experienced management support, Head Vets, nurses and administrative colleagues. As the first opinion service continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to help shape its direction while building your skills in a supportive, collaborative setting.
