Ready to lead a tight-knit nursing team at a thriving South East London practice? This Head RVN role offers the chance to mentor student nurses, manage clinical coaching, and work with diverse surgical and medical cases in a supportive, well-equipped environment.
Mayow Veterinary Surgery is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a senior leadership position within their South East London team. This is a full-time role working 4 days per week, offering genuine work-life balance alongside meaningful clinical responsibility.
You'll be joining a thriving first-opinion practice housed in a converted building with excellent facilities: two large consulting rooms, a prep area with dog kennels, a separate cat ward, two theatres, and ISFM Silver Accreditation for cat-friendly care. The practice sees a strong surgical caseload, including orthopaedic cases, alongside a vibrant medicine caseload. You'll have access to fantastic, evolving equipment and work within a 3-vet clinic structure where professional development is actively encouraged.
The location is an attractive feature: South East London close to Crystal Palace, with easy access to Kent, local schools, and excellent transport links (train station minutes away, good bus routes). It feels like a village rather than central London but keeps you close to London Bridge.
DNA Vetcare is a proudly independent group of multi-award-winning surgeries founded in 2006 by veterinary surgeons Alan van Heerden and Dane Walker. Operating across London and Kent, DNA Vetcare is built on a foundation of handpicked clinical excellence, compassionate care, and a genuinely supportive workplace culture. The group's mission is to be the vets of choice for caring pet owners, enhancing first-opinion veterinary care, and creating compassionate surgical teams.
Mayow is one of three surgeries in the DNA Vetcare network, supported by a dedicated customer service manager overseeing operations across all locations. The practice is characterised by its strong team ethos, investment in staff development, and commitment to modern clinical practice with evolving equipment and facilities.
