Ready to shape the future of a thriving small animal practice? This Lead Vet role at Easipetcare Chatham offers true clinical autonomy, zero out-of-hours, and a furnished flat on-site. No firefighting, just genuine leadership.
Saturday mornings on 1:3 rota only; no out-of-hours shifts required. Weekend day work only, not overnight on-call.
This is a genuine clinical leadership opportunity at a modern, well-equipped small animal practice in Chatham. You'll have real autonomy to drive clinical standards, mentor a talented team, and build a supportive culture. The role combines hands-on clinical work with dedicated protected management time, so you're never purely administrative. You'll handle a varied and rewarding caseload spanning orthopaedics, soft tissue, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging, with direct access to a visiting cardiologist on-site and imaging expertise nearby at the Dartford branch.
The practice location is genuinely appealing: under 5 minutes' walk from the mainline train station (easy London commute), next to historic Rochester and the Chatham Dockyard waterfront. A private, fully furnished 1-bedroom flat is available on-site to make relocation effortless. Working hours are flexible, typically 8am to 7:30pm, with condensed weeks and adjusted start times available. There are no out-of-hours shifts; Saturday mornings are shared on a 1:3 rota only.
You'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team, continuing to develop your own clinical skills while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues. This is a role for someone who enjoys mentoring, values genuine team culture, and wants to embed meaningful quality improvement that actually improves patient outcomes.
