Ready to shape the future of a thriving small animal practice? Join Easipetcare Derby as it transforms into Dovedale House, with a competitive salary up to £80,000, genuine flexibility (4 or 5-day week), and a supportive team that invests in your development.
One in three Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm) required, with time off in lieu provided. This is weekend day work, not overnight on-call.
This is your chance to step into a leadership position at a pivotal moment in the practice's evolution. You'll join Easipetcare Derby just as it rebrands to Dovedale House under the inspiring vet care network, giving you the opportunity to help shape the practice's future identity, culture, and clinical direction from day one.
The role combines clinical leadership with mentorship. You'll lead and inspire the veterinary team, providing oversight of complex cases, second opinions, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You'll champion clinical excellence through audits, protocols, and evidence-based practice, while working closely with the newly appointed Practice Director to support service development and continued growth. This full-time position offers genuine flexibility: work either a four-day week (38 hours) or five-day week (40 hours), whichever suits you best. The role includes a requirement to work one in three Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm), with time off in lieu provided.
Derby is a large, well-equipped practice with excellent facilities including 4 consult rooms, dedicated surgery and prep facilities, in-house laboratory, x-ray, ultrasound, separate cattery and kennel wards, and isolation facilities. Easipetcare operates six low-cost, high-quality veterinary practices across the UK (Chatham, Dartford, Derby, Kettering, Reading, and Streatham), established since 2010 and now part of the inspiring vet care network. The Derby practice is a large, spacious facility serving over 67,000 pets annually, offering comprehensive services including consultations, vaccinations, neutering, dentistry, minor surgery, x-rays, ultrasound, and laboratory testing. The team is close-knit, supportive, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to colleague development and wellbeing. The practice is involved with charitable organisations and works with Street Vet.
