Join a recently refreshed practice with ambitious clinical plans and genuinely supportive ownership. You'll work alongside vets with surgical, physiotherapy, and diagnostic imaging expertise—plus access to advanced equipment and fully funded professional development.

🕐 Schedule & Rota

1 in 4 Saturday rota. No Sunday work required.

About the Role

Farnham Vets for Pets has recently changed ownership and is now building something exciting. The new owners bring 15 and 14 years of experience respectively, with strong interests in regenerative medicine, chronic pain management, physiotherapy, and business development. This is your chance to join a practice shaping its own future, with a manageable 1:4 Saturday rota and no Sunday work required.

You’ll work with a collaborative team of four experienced vets in a purpose-built facility designed for high clinical standards. The practice manages the majority of cases in-house—including advanced procedures like stem cell therapy and PRP injections—and is supported by visiting specialists in orthopaedics, cardiology, and ophthalmology. Whether you’re interested in surgery, medicine, diagnostics, or complex cases, there’s room to develop your own clinical interests here.

The retail park location offers free parking and easy main road access, with new amenities nearby including Marks & Spencer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care across a broad small animal caseload, from routine consultations to advanced procedures
  • Contribute to the practice’s in-house management of advanced cases, including regenerative medicine and rehabilitation-focused cases
  • Collaborate with the clinical team (surgically-minded Amir, generalist Cathy, imaging-focused Ezgi, and complex medicine specialist Emma) on case planning and clinical problem-solving
  • Support the practice’s vision of introducing onsite hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services
  • Develop your own clinical interests, with certification actively encouraged and fully funded

Requirements

  • Registered as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS
  • Experience working in small animal practice
  • Confidence and motivation to engage with a forward-thinking team culture
  • Willingness to share Saturday rota duties fairly with colleagues (1 in 4)

Benefits

  • Salary up to £78,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Flexible working—full-time or part-time considered
  • 1 in 4 Saturday rota with no Sunday work
  • Fully funded CPD and professional certification support
  • Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVA, etc.)
  • Pension scheme
  • Death in service benefit
  • Exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts, including up to 30% off at Pets at Home

About the Practice

Farnham Vets for Pets is a small animal practice newly owned by Kirsty (15 years qualified, surgical certificate holder, background in hospital practice) and James (14 years’ experience, physiotherapy and arthritis specialist). The team comprises four vets with complementary interests: Amir (surgery), Cathy (medicine and surgery), Ezgi (diagnostic imaging), and Emma (complex medicine). The purpose-built facility includes two operating theatres, dedicated imaging/theatre room, and advanced equipment including multiparameter monitoring, capnography, doppler ultrasound, dental radiography, tonopen, syringe drivers, and a PRP machine. The practice is actively recruiting visiting specialists and planning to add onsite hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
