Glenshane Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Large Animal or Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join its established team in Northern Ireland. This is a client-facing farm vet role with a strong large animal focus, while still allowing some companion animal work for the right person.
You will be out on the road managing routine and emergency farm work, herd health support and advisory services, with the autonomy to manage your own cases and the support of experienced colleagues when needed. The balance between farm and small animal work can be tailored to suit your experience and interests.
The practice is based at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains and serves a loyal farming community, with clients ranging from large commercial units to smaller family-run farms.
Glenshane Veterinary Clinics is a three-branch mixed practice serving Mid Ulster, with a focus on beef, sheep and dairy clients. The practice also provides small animal care and works with a range of farms from larger commercial units to smaller family-run businesses.
The team includes experienced vets, nurses and support staff, and the practice has invested in equipment such as EasyScan, cattle crush and stocks, a small ruminant operating table, IDEXX lab station, digital X-ray, small animal ultrasound and modern practice management systems. The practice also offers an out of hours veterinary service.
