This float veterinary nursing assistant role supports a range of branches across the Central London region, including areas such as Hackney, West Ham, Mile End and more. It is a varied position that covers rota gaps such as holiday, days off and sick leave, so flexibility is essential.
You’ll be working 40 hours per week with a regular Saturday rotation. The role suits someone with extensive prior experience in the veterinary industry, Level 2 VCA course completion, and strong animal care and client care experience.
Day to day, the role combines client-facing work with practical support across the practice. That includes reception duties, cleaning and upkeep of the practice and its equipment and facilities, general administrative tasks such as insurance claims processing, and hands-on patient care where applicable.
Goddard Veterinary Group celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022 and now has 46 branches, three hospitals and its own nurse training college. The group is part of the VetPartners family.
The organisation says it values collaboration and colleague feedback, with a Colleague Forum and monthly Town Hall meetings with the board of directors. It also notes that all senior managers are mental health first aid trained and that wellness plans are offered to all new starters.
