Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

South Woodford is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established first opinion practice on a part-time basis. This role is built around a varied caseload, supportive colleagues and the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with clients and patients.

You will work an average of 30 hours per week. The rota includes a 1 in 4 branch Saturday, a 1 in 8 Sunday rotation at Wanstead Hospital, and up to two bank holidays each year. Once you have settled into the role, you will also join the last resort on-call at Wanstead. A dedicated hospital induction day is included to help you feel ready for your first hospital shift.

Clinical support is close by, with guidance from an experienced Regional Manager and Regional Head Vet, plus access to a 24-hour Wanstead Hospital for complex referrals and out-of-hours care. South Woodford also offers an easy commute from the Central Line, with Epping Forest nearby and a busy high street full of cafés, restaurants and independent shops.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a branch veterinary surgeon in a long-established first opinion practice.

• Work alongside the Senior Vet on your crossover day.
• Take part in the branch Saturday rota and Sunday hospital rotation.
• Join the last resort on-call rota at Wanstead once settled into the role.
