Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Harrow Weald is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a part-time basis, working an average of 20 hours per week. The rota includes either 1:3 or 1:4 branch Saturday cover and 1:8 Sunday cover at Mandeville Hospital in Northolt, with no on-call required and up to 2 bank holidays per year.

This is a varied branch nursing role where you will be involved in theatre work, consultations, inpatient care, anaesthesia and day-to-day patient comfort. The practice describes itself as well established, with a friendly team, a varied caseload and support from experienced colleagues across the wider Goddard network.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations when needed.
• Provide inpatient care, anaesthesia support and day-to-day nursing for hospitalised patients.
• Maintain accurate hospitalisation and patient records.
• Help maintain a clean, prepared and well-stocked clinical environment, including equipment, drugs, diets and consumables.
• Support a collaborative team culture and assist with the induction and training of new staff.
• Provide reception duties when required, offering friendly and efficient support to clients and their pets.
• Support student nurses in a clinical supervisor capacity.

Requirements

• You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• You should enjoy working as part of a team and be happy to get involved wherever needed.
• Experience and confidence in general branch nursing duties are important for this role.
