About the Role

This Registered Veterinary Nurse role is based at Goddard Veterinary Group’s Kingston practice, a historic market town setting in a beautiful period building. The site is an established GP practice with dental and digital x-ray, and the consult room, colleague area and office all have plenty of natural light.

You’ll be working alongside a full-time sole charge vet and a very enthusiastic veterinary nursing assistant, whom you’ll support through training. The role is described as a sole charge branch RVN position, with the chance to help lead the team and support the practice as it grows.

The rota is a 4-day week with Wednesdays off. Saturday cover includes a 1:4 branch rotation and 1:10 Saturdays at Stone Lion Hospital, plus up to 2 bank holidays a year at Stone Lion. There are no on-call requirements, and the practice is just a 6-minute walk from Norbiton station.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day to day running of the Kingston branch as the site’s RVN
• Work alongside the full-time vet in a sole charge branch setup
• Support the veterinary nursing assistant through training
• Help lead the team and contribute to the practice’s continued growth
• Cover branch Saturdays on a 1:4 rota
• Provide Saturday and bank holiday cover at Stone Lion Hospital when rotaed

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
• Experience suitable for a sole charge branch RVN role
• Ability to support and encourage a trainee veterinary nursing assistant

This role sits within Goddard Veterinary Group, which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022 and now has 46 branches, three hospitals and its own nurse training college.
