About the Role

The Westside practice is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a leadership position within their established small animal team. Based in a beautiful clinic between Battersea and Clapham, this full-time role offers a genuine opportunity to develop your nursing leadership without the stress of on-call commitments. With 3 vets, 2 RVNs, trainee nurses, and reception colleagues on the team, you will have comprehensive support and the chance to mentor others whilst delivering excellent patient care.

The practice benefits from excellent facilities including an imaging suite and blood diagnosis suite, enabling the team to perform a wide range of GP diagnostic and surgical procedures in-house. Your regional manager will provide dedicated support throughout your transition into the senior role, and emergency cases are seamlessly managed by the Stone Lion 24-hour hospital just 20 minutes away.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the nursing team at Westside, including RVNs and trainee nurses
• Perform a full range of nursing duties including theatre support, patient care, and client communication
• Contribute to clinical procedures and diagnostics using the practice's imaging and laboratory facilities
• Support the 3 veterinary surgeons in delivering high-quality GP medicine and surgery
• Help maintain exemplary standards of patient and client care across the branch
• Participate in 1:4 branch Saturday rotas and 1:10 Saturday rotations at Stone Lion Hospital

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Proven experience in small animal nursing
• Leadership experience or strong interest in developing nursing leadership skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to high standards of patient and client care

• Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum depending on experience, with room for growth
