Veterinary Surgeon - Diagnostic Imaging (Part-Time)

About the Role

Hamilton Specialist Referrals is seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to deliver advanced diagnostic imaging services within a purpose-built, 24-hour multidisciplinary referral hospital. This is a part-time opportunity (10 hours per week, one day per week) based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, with excellent transport links to London and countryside access that supports genuine work-life balance.

You'll work alongside specialists and advanced practitioners across orthopaedics, neurology, soft tissue surgery, oncology and internal medicine, managing complex referral cases and providing diagnostic support that directly shapes clinical outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to clinical governance, mentoring and the continued development of diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for complex referral cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support case management and clinical decision-making
• Communicate effectively with referring veterinary surgeons and clients, providing clear diagnostic advice and recommendations
• Contribute to clinical governance, teaching, mentoring and service development within diagnostic imaging

Requirements

• ECVDI Boarded Specialist, Board Eligible, or Advanced Practitioner status
• Proven experience managing complex diagnostic imaging cases within a referral environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with referring vets, clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance and continuous improvement
