Holmefield Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its clinical team on a part-time, 10-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a rare opportunity to work daytime shifts only with no weekend or out-of-hours responsibilities, allowing you to maintain excellent work-life balance while delivering high-quality nursing care. The practice is a friendly, long-established 100% small animal clinic with an experienced and loyal team, located in the semi-rural village of Brayton, North Yorkshire, just 20 minutes from York and with direct train links to London, Manchester, and Leeds.
You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice. The team has recently completed the Vets Now Emergency and Critical Care Certificate, reflecting the practice's commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing development. The practice operates from a main site in Brayton and a smaller branch in Sherburn-in-Elmet, with recently refurbished facilities including digital x-ray, K-laser, multiparameter monitoring, doppler blood pressure monitoring, separate cat and dog wards, and a dedicated bereavement room.
Your working pattern will be fixed: Tuesday 8:30am to 2:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am to 7:00pm, Thursday 8:30am to 6:00pm, and Friday 8:30am to 2:00pm. That's 30 hours per week with no weekends and no on-call duties.
