Ready to join a proudly independent ambulatory equine practice with real clinical freedom? Home Farm Equine offers a supportive eight-vet team, varied caseload, and genuine work-life balance in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir.
Shared out-of-hours rota on 1:5 to 1:6 basis with gradual introduction. Day off in lieu provided for weekend and bank holiday work.
You'll be covering maternity leave for a minimum of six months at Home Farm Equine, a purely ambulatory equine practice in the East Midlands. This role suits vets with at least three years of ambulatory and/or hospital experience who value clinical freedom, variety, and collaborative support. There's no inpatient management here—just the range and interest you'd expect from a thriving equine practice.
Based in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, close to Nottingham city centre and the Peak District, you'll work with an established eight-vet team where guidance and backup are always available. The caseload spans Olympic and international sport horse yards through to leisure and companion ponies, racing yards, and horses in prime hunting country.
Home Farm Equine is a proudly independent, purely ambulatory equine practice in Nottinghamshire's Vale of Belvoir. The eight-vet team includes holders and candidates of the Internal Medicine Certificate, and the practice runs regular journal club and CPD sessions. All vets work from fully equipped vehicles and have access to modern diagnostic and surgical equipment for field-based case management.
The team values a positive working environment as much as clinical excellence, with a collaborative, sociable culture and genuine support for professional development.
