About the Role
This is a flexible part-time position working 21 hours per week across just 2 days, with no more than 2 in 5 Saturdays (8am–4pm). Critically, there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties required—allowing you to maintain a genuine work-life balance. You'll be joining an established small animal practice with three branches across the Stockport area, all fully equipped to high standards.
The practice values proficiency in first opinion consults and surgery, with the ability to work both independently on sole charge and collaboratively as part of a 7-vet team. The diaries are managed thoughtfully to protect admin time, lunch breaks, and on-time finishes, making the workload feel sustainable. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first opinion small animal consultations across the three practice locations (Poynton, Woodley, Cheadle Hulme)
- Perform surgical procedures within your competence level
- Work sole charge when required, managing independent decision-making
- Collaborate with a team of 7 vets, 5 RVNs, a VCA, and support staff

Requirements
- Registered as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS
- Proficiency in first opinion consultations and small animal surgery
- Ability to work sole charge independently and confidently
- Team collaboration skills and professional communication
- Experience level: all levels considered, from new graduates to experienced practitioners

- Salary: Up to £65,000 FTE, depending on experience, plus a £5,000 relocation allowance
