Locum Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a flexible locum opportunity spanning three well-established practices in Marlborough, Salisbury, and Milton Keynes. You'll work daytime shifts (typically 9am to 6:30pm or 7pm) on dates that suit your calendar, with the option to take consult-only shifts if you prefer. The practices are independent, family-owned, and emphasise a welcoming, collaborative environment.

You'll have access to modern, well-equipped facilities including in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and orthopaedic equipment. An experienced team is on hand to support you throughout your shifts, so you won't be working in isolation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver general small animal veterinary care across the three practice locations
• Conduct consultations and clinical examinations
• Perform routine procedures using the in-house diagnostic and surgical facilities
• Work collaboratively with the established team at each practice
• Maintain professional standards and practice protocols

Requirements

• Registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Surgeon
• Experience in small animal practice
• Confidence and professional approach to client communication
• Flexibility to work the available shift patterns
