Join Hungerford Vets as Head Registered Veterinary Nurse and take senior clinical leadership of a 18-strong nursing team at a well-established 24-hour hospital. This full-time role on a 4-day working week offers the perfect balance of hands-on patient care and strategic team development. You'll work alongside 14 veterinary surgeons in a practice built on excellence since 1976, where RCVS Hospital accreditation has been maintained for over 20 years.
You'll combine mentoring and professional development with direct patient care, working closely with the Practice Director, Lead Vet, and Client Care Manager as part of the leadership team. Your role will shape nursing culture, clinical governance, and quality improvement across the hospital.
Hungerford Vets was established in 1976 by Pip Pocock and has grown to become a leading 24-hour veterinary hospital with RCVS Hospital accreditation maintained for nearly 20 years. The practice is inspected every four years to ensure standards in hygiene, equipment, staff training and client communication never drop. The team comprises 14 veterinary surgeons and 18 nurses, each bringing clinical expertise and specialist interests.
The hospital is equipped with two operating theatres, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, therapeutic laser and a wide range of advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment. The practice operates its own out-of-hours service and is part of inspiring vet care, the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with the care of over 2 million animals.
