About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon role with 40 hours over 4 days per week, no OOH and 1:5 Saturdays. A part-time arrangement may also be considered for the right applicant.
You will be joining a busy, friendly and supportive team in an RCVS accredited practice that operates across two branches in Dronfield and Killamarsh. The caseload includes routine surgery, orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, laser surgery and endoscopy, with modern purpose built facilities supporting day to day clinical work.
The practice also places emphasis on wellbeing and team connection, with regular social events outside work hours plus time set aside for employee wellbeing and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across both medical and surgical aspects of a varied small animal caseload.
- Support consultations and procedures on a daily basis in line with the rota.
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support team to deliver patient and client care.
- Carry out sole charge work when required.
- Contribute to the clinical culture and support colleagues through shared knowledge and experience.
Requirements
- Experience as a small animal vet.
- Comfort with sole charge.
- Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, openness to feedback and development, and a professional, reliable attitude.
