About the Role
This is a part-time Veterinary Surgeon position at Stonehenge Vets, working 24.5 hours across 3 days. The rota includes Saturdays on a 1 in 5 basis, 9am to 2pm, and there is no out-of-hours work. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
You will be joining a busy small animal practice with two branches located around 10 minutes apart. The role offers a mix of consulting and operating, with some flexibility for the right candidate. The practice is based on the Wiltshire and Hampshire border, within reach of Salisbury, Stonehenge, Woodhenge and Salisbury Plain.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a mix of consulting and operating across the small animal caseload.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver patient and client care.
- Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Support the ongoing development of those around you.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning and openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

About the Practice
Stonehenge Vets is a busy small animal practice with two branches located around 10 minutes apart. The Durrington practice is purpose built and has modern facilities. The caseload is made up of dogs, cats and small pets, and the practice says it has a strong team with a good mix of skills and a high percentage of insured pets.
The practice sits on the Wiltshire and Hampshire border, close to Salisbury, Stonehenge, Woodhenge and Salisbury Plain.
