Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon position is based in South Norwood and offers a varied small animal caseload with full-time, part-time and flexible working options available. The rota includes a 1 in 7 Saturday commitment from 9am to 5pm with TOIL.

You will work across a 5 day week, with shift patterns listed as 8.30 to 5, 10.00 to 6:30, 11 to 7.30 every other week, or a 4 day week from 8.30 to 7 or 9 to 7.30. The role sits within a practice that values continuity of care, community links and collaborative clinical working.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of patient and client care across a varied primary care caseload
• Work collaboratively with the wider practice team
• Develop your own clinical skills and interests while contributing to the practice’s clinical culture
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues and support those around you

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and registration, or eligibility to register, with the RCVS
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• A proactive approach to learning and development
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
