Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Join Animates Vets as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the welcoming gateway to excellent pet care. You'll be the first point of contact for clients and their animals, setting a positive, professional tone at every interaction. This is a full-time permanent position with a predictable pattern: 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday with a fixed day off, plus paid overtime on a 1 in 4 Saturday rota.

Working within a proud, friendly team committed to high-quality care, you'll play a vital role in ensuring both pets and owners feel valued from the moment they walk through the door. Your organisational skills and warm manner will directly contribute to a smooth-running practice where clinical and non-clinical colleagues work seamlessly together.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
• Answer phone calls, emails, and general enquiries with confidence and courtesy
• Book appointments and process payments accurately
• Support administrative tasks including debt prevention and recovery
• Keep the reception area clean, organised, and welcoming
• Liaise closely with the clinical team to ensure excellent client service and smooth patient flow

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
• Proactive attitude with openness to feedback and learning
