About the Role
Mount Road Vets is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join its small animal team in Gorton, Manchester. This is a sole charge position, giving you the chance to help shape and develop the practice with support from the Practice Manager and Area Director.
The rota is full time, 40 hours a week, with shifts between 10am and 6pm. There is no OOH and no weekends, and the practice encourages a collaborative approach, including the opportunity to share resources with other local practices to support continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team and contribute to the clinical culture.
- Take on sole charge responsibilities as part of the rota.
- Support the ongoing development of colleagues through sharing knowledge and experience.
- Help develop the practice with guidance from the Practice Manager and Area Director.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning and openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Confidence working in sole charge.
