This is a hospital-based first-opinion position with Yorkshire Vets, part of inspiring vet care, one of the UK's leading veterinary groups across Leeds and Bradford. You'll work 4-5 days per week on shifts typically running 7:30am to 6:00pm, with Saturday rotas on a 1-in-4 basis (8:00am to 12:00pm). Importantly, there is no overnight OOH or bank holiday cover required. The role sits in a well-equipped environment with digital X-ray, diagnostic ultrasound including Doppler, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory and blood analysers.
You'll deliver first-opinion consultations, inpatient care, clinical decision-making and diagnostic workups across a varied and rewarding caseload. The practice operates a centralised RCVS accredited hospital facility at Thornbury on the Leeds and Bradford border, alongside five branch practices across the region. You'll have the flexibility to shape the role around your clinical interests while benefiting from the support and facilities that only a hospital setting can offer.
The team includes certificate holders in ophthalmology, surgery and dermatology who you'll collaborate with. This position is ideal for an experienced GP vet who wants to stay grounded in first-opinion work while accessing hospital resources and a stable, friendly team environment.
