You will be joining Oakham Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Surgeon, working across a varied and rewarding first-opinion caseload while also contributing to the practice's cardiology and orthopaedic referral work. The role is based around a 40-hour week on a four-day pattern, with 10-hour shifts, alongside a shared on-call and out-of-hours rota that provides dedicated 24-hour emergency care and is tailored to your level of clinical experience.

Oakham Veterinary Hospital is a long-established practice on the outskirts of Oakham, Rutland. It is purpose-built and equipped with CT, ultrasonography, dental radiography, diathermy and equipment for procedures such as laparoscopic bitch spays and complex orthopaedic surgeries.
The team includes 8 veterinary surgeons, a nursing team of 14 including SVNs, a hospital assistant and 8 client care team members. The practice has a clinical association with the University of Nottingham Vet School, and it has certificate holders in small animal surgery, medicine and cardiology, with additional certificate holders across the wider clinical team.
