About the Role
Inshes Vets is seeking a confident, organised and compassionate Head Client Care Advisor to lead its friendly client care team. This is a client-facing role where you'll help create a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues. The role also offers the chance to build leadership skills and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
The working pattern is Monday to Friday from 8am to 7.30pm, with shifts of 8am to 5pm, 9am to 6pm and 10.30am to 7.30pm, plus one in five Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and their pets with professionalism, warmth and empathy
- Manage incoming calls, emails and appointment bookings
- Lead, coach and support a team of five receptionists
- Create and manage monthly team rotas
- Oversee insurance claims and support debt management processes
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve client enquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate client records, patient histories and financial information
- Support the day-to-day running of the reception department
- Help drive team engagement and continuous improvement across client care
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Strong background in customer service, administration, hospitality, healthcare, retail or team leadership will be considered
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
- Experience in a customer-facing role with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
- Proactive attitude with openness to feedback and learning
