This is a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position at Nithsdale Vets, supporting a busy small animal practice with a varied first opinion caseload. The role offers the chance to work across both Dumfries and Thornhill, with exposure to medical and surgical work and the opportunity to develop your nursing skills in a supportive clinical setting.
The rota is based on 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 8am and 7pm. Out-of-hours commitments include 1 weeknight on call and 1 in every 4 weekend on calls, with Saturday on-call duties from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Nithsdale Vets is a two-site small animal practice based in Thornhill and Dumfries. Both sites are equipped to a high standard and supported by modern facilities and equipment, including DR digital radiography, a new IDEXX laboratory suite with ProCyte and Catalyst, new ultrasound machines, dental units with dental radiography, multiparameter and blood pressure monitoring equipment, plus a flexible endoscope and Tonopen.
