About the Role
This part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Clent Hills Vets in Bromsgrove and offers a varied first opinion caseload. You’ll be working 32 hours across 3 days each week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and there are no out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities.
The practice is looking for someone who enjoys a balanced mix of consultations, medical work-ups and surgical procedures. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where you can continue to build confidence, develop your clinical interests and contribute to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first opinion care across a varied small animal caseload.
- Carry out consultations, medical investigations and surgical procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to support high standards of patient and client care.
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues while contributing to the clinical culture of the practice.
- Support the ongoing development of the team through a positive and professional approach.
Requirements
- Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

About the Practice
Clent Hills Vets is part of the inspiring vet care network, which sits within IVC Evidensia. The practice has a large clinical team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, supported by skilled nursing and support colleagues.
Facilities and clinical capability include laparoscopic and orthopaedic surgery equipment, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound with cardiac probe, endoscopes, therapeutic laser, slit lamp and tonometer, plus an in-house laboratory. The team also includes certificate holders in medicine, feline medicine and surgery.
