This maternity cover Veterinary Surgeon role offers a 40 hour week worked over 4 or 5 days, with no out of hours requirement. You’ll also cover 15 Saturday mornings per year, from 8:30am to 12:45pm.
You'll be based across the Uttoxeter and Tutbury practices, which are around 15 minutes apart. The caseload includes a good mix of surgery and medicine, with plenty of clinical freedom and autonomy, while experienced colleagues are available for support and discussion.
The role sits within a supportive team of vets and RVNs, including certificate holders in Surgery and Medicine. There is access to a range of first opinion equipment and a collaborative clinical environment.
You'll be joining The Glenthorne Veterinary Centre in Uttoxeter, part of IVC Evidensia and branded to candidates as inspiring vet care. The practice treats dogs, cats, small pets, farm animals, and equine cases.
The team includes vets and RVNs, with certificate holders in Surgery and Medicine. The practice also lists digital X ray, dental radiography, ultrasound, and an in house laboratory among its equipment.
