About the Role

De Montfort Vets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its newly refurbished hospital in Evesham. This is a small animal role with flexibility built in, offering full time hours at 40 per week over 4 days, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays from 08:30 to 13:00. There are no out of hours or on call duties, and part time hours will also be considered.

You can shape the work around your clinical strengths, whether your interest is medical or surgical. The practice says it provides the environment and equipment to help you develop, while giving you the chance to work collaboratively across a varied and rewarding caseload.

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

About the Practice

De Montfort Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS accredited practice in Evesham, a growing market town in the Vale of Evesham. The team includes 4 FTE vets, 8 FTE RVNs and 1 SVN, alongside a wider support team. It is also a Veterinary Nurse training centre and an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic with Gold Award status.

The clinical team includes certificate holders and colleagues with interests in medicine, dentistry, ECC, surgery, feline nursing and behavioural work. The hospital is equipped with digital X ray, dental X ray, advanced ultrasound and endoscopy, plus a full IDEXX in house lab.
