Ready to join a supportive six-vet team where clinical freedom, genuine collaboration, and work-life balance aren't just promises? Highgate Vets offers four-day weeks with no out-of-hours commitments.
This is a full-time or part-time position tailored to your needs, working a four-day week with 1 in 6 Saturday mornings and no out-of-hours or on-call commitments. You'll deliver first-opinion small animal care across two practice sites in Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District, rotating between the main surgery (medical and surgical cases) and the branch practice (preventative healthcare). The clinical culture here is built on shared learning, peer support, and the freedom to develop your own interests.
Whether you're an experienced vet or continuing to build your confidence in routine cases, this role can be shaped around where you are in your career. You'll work alongside six veterinary surgeons, six RVNs, two student nurses, and a veterinary care assistant who genuinely enjoy helping each other succeed. The team encourages clinical discussion and collaborative problem-solving across a varied caseload.
