Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

About the Role

Join Rowe Veterinary Group's Wotton Under Edge branch as a Veterinary Surgeon working across two contrasting environments: a busy 24/7 mid-tier referral and first opinion hospital, plus a smaller branch practice. This part-time, flexible position offers real clinical breadth, from routine cases to more complex presentations, with the security of a large, experienced team behind you.

You'll work Monday and Tuesday 8:30am to 7:00pm, plus rota commitments covering 1 in 9 full weekends (Saturday and Sunday at the 24/7 hospital) and 1 in 9 Saturday mornings at the branch. The role includes sole charge responsibilities at times, but you're never truly alone: a wider clinical network is on hand when you need advice or support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team at both the hospital and branch settings
• Manage sole charge work when required, with access to clinical support from experienced colleagues
• Develop and share clinical skills, contributing positively to the practice's clinical culture
• Support the ongoing professional development of junior team members

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility to register)
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proactive approach to learning, openness to feedback and development
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Comfort working in a sole charge capacity when required
