An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding Emergency team at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, a purpose-built hospital known for clinical excellence and innovation. You'll manage a diverse and rewarding emergency caseload supported by ECC Specialists 24/7, with a focus on high-quality inpatient and critical care. The role offers outstanding case exposure and the chance to work alongside internationally recognised specialists in anaesthesia, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, ECC, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and orthopaedics.
This permanent, full-time position features an exceptionally well-designed 8-week rota with three full weeks off built in, incorporating a balanced mix of day, evening, and overnight shifts. You'll be fully supported by a dedicated team of Emergency and Night Nurses, with excellent nurse-to-vet ratios and access to state-of-the-art facilities including a Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, mobile image intensifiers, digital radiography suites, advanced ultrasonography, electrodiagnostics, video endoscopy, and extensive advanced surgical equipment.

Manage emergency cases across the full spectrum of small animal emergency and critical care medicine
Deliver high-quality inpatient and critical care supported by specialist expertise
Collaborate daily with specialists across anaesthesia, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, ECC, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and orthopaedics
Work as part of a dedicated Emergency Vet and Intern team committed to clinical excellence
Utilise world-class diagnostic and surgical facilities to support patient outcomes
Minimum two years' experience in small animal hospital medicine
OOH emergency medicine and surgery experience desirable
Experience working within a hospital or referral setting preferred
Team-focused approach and commitment to clinical excellence
Confident and motivated approach to emergency veterinary practice
Salary: £66,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The work will be under the following schedule:
8-week rota with three full weeks off. Week 1: Monday-Sunday 7am-5pm; Week 2: Off; Week 3: Monday-Sunday 4pm-2am (on-call 2am-5am); Week 4: Off; Week 5: Off; Week 6: Monday-Thursday 12pm-10pm, Friday 2pm-12am; Week 7: Tuesday-Thursday on-call 7pm-11pm, Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday 10am-8pm, Sunday 7am-5pm; Week 8: Monday 7am-5pm, Tuesday-Thursday on-call 8am-12pm. Includes day, evening, and overnight shifts.
