About the Practice

MBM Veterinary Group is a long-established practice with over a century of heritage in Ayrshire. Born from the 1913 merger of McKenzie Bryson & Marshall (originally founded in Kilmarnock) and Barr & MacMillan (established in Mauchline in 1957), the group maintains traditional values whilst delivering modern, species-specific veterinary care. The practice now operates three locations: Kilmarnock (with purpose-built extension), Beith (newly relocated to Kings Street with modern surgical facilities), and Mauchline (extended and re-equipped in 2004). MBM Veterinary Group is part of IVC Evidensia.

The small animal team comprises 20 veterinary surgeons (including certificate holders and those pursuing further qualifications), 16 RVNs, 4 Animal Nursing Assistants, and 14 reception staff. The practice provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with strong links to referral centres for complex cases.
