About the Role

This maternity cover position offers a fixed-term opportunity to join Medivet's multi-disciplinary team in Merthyr Tydfil. You'll work 39 hours per week with Saturday shifts limited to 1 in 6 (08:30 to 14:00), giving you predictable time off to recharge. The role combines nurse-led patient care with support for surgical and procedural work in a small animal, mixed animal and exotic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities with compassionate, clinically sound care
• Support veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries, and procedures
• Manage patient monitoring, admissions, and discharges to the highest clinical standards
• Work collaboratively within the team to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Ensure exceptional communication with clients throughout their pet's care journey

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Demonstrable passion for patient and client care
