Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This is a Front of House Registered Veterinary Nurse position with a strong focus on nurse-led consultations in a busy small animal and exotic hospital setting. You’ll be the clinical face of the practice, conducting appointments, managing patient admissions and discharges, and ensuring every client experience is outstanding. You’ll also provide clinical support to the veterinary team in procedures and hospital care as needed. This is a full-time permanent role based in Watford—perfect if you’re energised by client interaction and want to make a tangible difference in patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nurse-led consultations and appointments, including Schedule 3 activities
• Manage patient admissions and discharges with meticulous attention to detail
• Provide patient monitoring and care to the highest standards
• Support veterinary surgeons during procedures, surgeries, and clinical consultations
• Ensure all regulatory, practice, and operational compliance standards are met
• Deliver exceptional client care and maintain positive client relationships
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive clinical team

Requirements

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (current registration required)
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Organised and detail-oriented approach to clinical and administrative tasks
• Commitment to professional standards and regulatory compliance
