Veterinary Surgeon - Partnership

About the Role

This is a partnership opportunity with Medivet, offering experienced veterinary surgeons the chance to lead and own an established small animal practice near Torquay on Devon's beautiful Southeast coast. Unlike traditional employment, you'll take ownership of your clinic's direction and growth while retaining the support structure many solo practice owners crave. The clinic is well-positioned with a loyal, established client base, modern facilities, and room for continued development. You'll work with a dedicated team of support staff and RVNs, managing day-to-day operations while being backed by Medivet's operational infrastructure and a regional network of fellow partners nearby. Out-of-hours cover is supported through a local emergency hub, so you're never isolated in your leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the practice day-to-day, making clinical and business decisions aligned with your vision
• Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care and build continuity with your client base
• Develop and mentor your team of support staff and RVNs
• Grow the practice's clinical and commercial potential with Medivet's support
• Collaborate with nearby partner-led practices to share cases, skills, and expertise
• Utilise out-of-hours support from the local emergency hub to manage emergency cover

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with current RCVS registration
• Proven clinical expertise and passion for quality small animal care
• Leadership ambition and desire to build and shape your own practice
• Commitment to community-focused veterinary care
• Business acumen and willingness to drive practice growth (prior business ownership not essential)
• Collaborative mindset and ability to mentor a team
