About the Role
You'll join Oakfield's Castle Bromwich surgery as part of a small animal team where every day brings genuine variety—from surgical procedures to consultations, diagnostic work to preventative care. Your typical week runs 8am–7pm across four days, plus a shared Saturday rota with no overnight on-call requirements. The practice closes Sundays and bank holidays, giving you proper downtime. You'll be based primarily at Castle Bromwich, with occasional visits to the sister sites in Tamworth and Atherstone.
This is a practice where your professional growth matters: the team includes specialists with Small Animal Medicine and Exotics Certificates, an Advanced Practitioner, and feline and canine behaviourists. They actively encourage CPD and certificate development, and you'll have access to digital radiography, dental radiography, laser, ultrasound (including cardiac probe), and ISFM Cat Friendly Silver Accreditation standards to work within.
