Paragon Veterinary Group is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly team. You will be based mainly at the main small animal site in Dalston, just south of Carlisle, with some time at the Newbiggin branch near Penrith.
The role covers a varied first-opinion caseload, including routine consultations and surgery. Standard consultations are 15 minutes, extended where needed, and the working day includes breaks for admin, phone calls and other day-to-day tasks. You will also have at least one dedicated operating day each week.
The practice runs its own out-of-hours service, so you will share the on-call rota with the team. The Dalston practice has been extensively redeveloped and includes digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory and separate cat and dog wards. The group also works as a veterinary teaching practice for the University of Surrey and regularly welcomes final-year veterinary students.
