Join Park Veterinary Centre's supportive team and enjoy genuine part-time flexibility with Saturday mornings and no overnight on-call. A trusted Hertfordshire practice for over 100 years, offering excellent facilities and real progression opportunities.

Park Veterinary Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its clinical team on a part-time basis. This role offers approximately 22 to 25 hours per week, with flexibility to shape your schedule around your needs. You'll work across two sites: the consulting-only Leavesden clinic and the fully equipped Watford hospital, delivering high-quality nursing care in a welcoming, supportive environment where professional development is genuinely prioritised.
This is a small-animal first-opinion practice with a strong ethos of patient-first care. You'll be part of a team that values long-term staff relationships and invests in continuous learning. Saturday mornings (one or two per month, 8.30 am to 1 pm) and one longer weekday evening (8.30 am to 7 pm) form the core of your schedule, with additional weekday mornings to be discussed flexibly. You also have the option to pick up extra hours to cover annual leave if you wish.
Park Veterinary Centre has served the Hertfordshire community for over 100 years. Now part of inspiring vet care (the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with over 2 million animals), the practice maintains its founding ethos of putting patient welfare first whilst building lasting client relationships. The practice operates two sites: a consulting-only clinic at Leavesden and a larger Watford headquarters with comprehensive surgical and medical facilities.
The Watford main site includes three consulting rooms, a dedicated eye and ultrasound examination room, in-house laboratory, two fully equipped operating theatres, dedicated x-ray facility, and comfortable kennel wards. Advanced equipment includes laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray and advanced monitoring systems. The team includes a qualified behaviourist and Pet Health Counsellor, and several veterinary surgeons hold special interests in exotic pets and ophthalmology. The practice is an RCVS GP Training Practice, emphasising teamwork, client care and staff development. Night nursing cover is provided for in-patients and out-of-hours support.
