About the Role
This hybrid position combines warehouse-based stock preparation with home-based listing creation. Following an initial full-time training period at the Tipton warehouse, you'll settle into a sustainable rhythm: three days per week preparing and processing stock on-site, two days working from home creating and uploading online product listings across eBay, Vinted and other marketplaces.
You'll play a direct role in generating income that funds PDSA's vital veterinary services for pets whose owners face financial hardship. The work spans everything from product photography and market research to AI-assisted listing creation and stock management. You'll have flexibility with working hours, with start times available from 7:00am and finish times up to 5:00pm, plus a one-hour lunch break.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, present and photograph products to create visually appealing online listings
- Research brands, products and market prices to identify sales opportunities and maximise revenue
- Create accurate, detailed listings across online marketplaces including eBay and Vinted
- Use AI-assisted listing software and digital tools to improve efficiency while maintaining quality control
- Maintain accurate stock records, ensure correct product labelling and secure storage
- Identify valuable, unusual or restricted items and escalate appropriately
- Collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to achieve team income targets
- Follow marketplace requirements and PDSA policies to ensure compliance and quality standards
Requirements
- Organised, motivated mindset with strong attention to detail
- Good computer and smartphone skills
- Excellent written English
- Ability to manage workloads and work towards daily and weekly targets
- Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues and volunteers
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing quality with productivity
- Experience with second-hand retail, online selling or photography skills are beneficial but not essential
