This is OOH work with a real difference. You'll handle emergency cases only (no booked routine appointments), giving you exposure to diverse clinical challenges across both charitable and private practice clients. The rota is predictable, the caseload is manageable, and you'll finish on time with proper breaks built into every shift. With 33.41 hours per week, you'll have genuine space for life outside work while making a meaningful difference when pets and owners need help most.
You'll join a highly collaborative, effective hospital where teamwork and case discussion are the norm. The team has varied clinical interests, giving you access to a wide pool of knowledge when discussing cases and treatment plans. Cardiff is modern, well-equipped with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment. You'll also have the opportunity to support and develop veterinary students on some shifts, helping them grow their skills in a real-world emergency setting.
