About the Role
This is a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse role with PDSA in Gillingham, Kent. You'll be working in a busy, purpose-led hospital where no two days are the same, supporting a wide variety of cases and playing a key part across the hospital.
The role includes nurse consultations, inpatient care, dispensing medications and assisting in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery. You'll also be part of a close-knit, collaborative team where communication, shared learning and supporting others are central to the way the hospital works.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing support across the hospital, including nurse consultations and inpatient care.
- Dispense medications and assist in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery.
- Communicate confidently with colleagues and clients, keeping pets calm and owners informed.
- Support other team members and lead by example in a busy environment.
- Contribute ideas for improvements and efficiencies, with a focus on using resources well.
- Help promote PDSA's charity mission and encourage client contributions where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.
