Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

PDSA Manchester is seeking a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly hospital team where no two days are the same. The role is varied and hands on, with involvement across nurse consultations, inpatient care, dispensing medications and assisting in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery.

You will be working in a busy, purpose led environment where communication, teamwork and adaptability matter. The role also calls for someone who is confident supporting colleagues and clients, and who can help keep pets calm while owners stay informed.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out nurse consultations and support day to day hospital nursing duties.
• Provide inpatient care and dispense medications.
• Assist in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery.
• Work closely with colleagues to keep the hospital running smoothly.
• Help keep pets calm and owners informed throughout their visit.
• Promote client contributions, support the charity's aims and look for efficiencies in how resources are used.

Requirements

• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Confidence communicating with a wide range of colleagues and clients.
• Willingness to adapt to a wide variety of cases.
• Comfortable sharing skills, supporting others and leading by example.
