You'll join PDSA Newcastle upon Tyne as a Veterinary Care Assistant, supporting the hospital team across all aspects of day-to-day clinical and care operations. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week in a busy, purpose-led environment where your contribution directly helps pets and owners in financial hardship.
The role combines hands-on animal care, reception support, and clinical assistance. You'll maintain clean and hygienic facilities, handle animals safely, provide client-facing support, and work closely with Veterinary Nurses and Surgeons. You may also discuss financial contributions with clients, always with empathy and professionalism. This is an excellent entry point if you're keen to build a career in veterinary practice.
