This is a full-time permanent position offering the variety and meaningful impact you're looking for. You'll work Monday to Friday on 7.5-hour shifts (typically 8am to 8pm), with a manageable 1:7 weekend rota covering Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm. Time off in lieu is given the following week, plus OOH uplift pay. There's no night work required. Located within walking distance of Cardiff city centre, the hospital offers free staff parking and a genuinely collaborative environment where case discussion and shared learning are actively encouraged.
You'll see a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases that will stretch and develop your clinical skills. Every day brings something different, and you'll work alongside vets with a wealth of clinical interests. The modern, purpose-built Pet Hospital is well-equipped with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment. PDSA also provides on-site out-of-hours care, so you're part of a comprehensive service.
